After the shocking announcement earlier this week that the Canadian Grand Prix wouldn’t be on the 2009 calendar some of the team bosses shared their opinions on that decision today at Fuji.
“We are hugely disappointed,” said Honda’s Nick Fry. “It will be a major topic at the next meeting of teams.”
Toyota President John Howett said: “Hopefully in the next four years we can establish a real race in the US.”
BMW’s Mario Theissen stressed the need for the “Canadian race and at least one US one.”
Even though as much as I would love to see the return of the USGP, it’ll be more than likely that the officials that run the Canadian GP must find a way to get the government support they need in order to bring F1 back to North America before anybody starts asking questions about where the USGP will be held.
